Italy will host the “EU-Balkans Youth Forum” in Rome on 22-26 November 2021, which will bring 75 university students from all over the EU, with 10 mentors and political figures from the entire region.
Italy will select two participants from each EU country and four from each Balkan country, not yet part of the EU.
The initiative aims to ensure that young people from the Balkans also have a voice in the Conference on the future of Europe and will see five working groups discussing EU reform and enlargement, identity and reconciliation, climate challenges, economic integration and also society and new media.
The working language will be English.
The agenda of the event and the participation form are available on the website www.eubalkanforum.org and applications are open until October 15th. The communications to the selected people will be sent by 22 October in order to have a month of preparation before the event in Rome.
Also “online” sessions by the co-organizers will be given.
The objective of the Forum is to create a transnational network of young supporters of EU enlargement, capable of actively engaging political authorities and civil society in promoting European integration.
