The Ambassador

The Ambassador  Federica Favi

 

Federica Favi graduated in Political Science at the Rome University  and started the diplomatic career in 1995, starting her professional career at the Farnesina at the Directorate General of Personnel.

 

Her first assignment abroad was in 1999 in Cairo as a Commercial Secretary, then confirmed as Consul in the same location in 2001.

In 2005 she returned to the Farnesina as Chief of Staff of the Directorate General for Asia, Oceania, the Pacific and Antarctic Countries.

In 2008 she moved to Geneva where she took on the role of Counselor, then First Counselor from 2010, for humanitarian affairs at the Permanent Representation to the International Organizations.

Since 2011 she has been in Tbilisi, Georgia, as Ambassador.

She returned to Rome in 2015 to the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs, dealing mainly with strategic, political-military and NATO issues.

Since 2018 she has been appointed Ambassador to Muscat.

In January 2023 she was appointed Ambassador to Brussels

Federica Favi was awarded the title of Official Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic in 2017.
