We inform the Italian citizens that the 1st October 2010, the consular district of Brussels will receive also the Italian community resident in Limburgo. Besides, from the same date, the Consulate will pass under the competence of the Embassy of Italy to the Kingdom of Belgium, becoming a consular Chancellery even if the location will remain invariated.
Electronical Passports
Please note that according to the current passport legislation starting from mid-May all passports issued must contain a passport photo as well as fingerprints of the holder. Italian nationals who wish to apply for a passport must come to the competent Passport Office of the Consulate of Italy to have their fingerprints captured electronically, provided they have an appointment. As a consequence postal applications will no longer be accepted.Please note that passports issued before the coming into force of electronic passports containing fingerprints will be valid until their expiry date.
